The website is built with the ALSIC.Web Framework and contains many specific modules. There is an extensive integration with a back-end business intelligence system. The website has been upgraded in 2011 with new RIS related functionality such as Notices to Skippers and support for the RIS Index.
The website is hosted on a virtualization platform based on VMWare. Multiple virtual machines are configured in a web farm (network load balancing). The web application runs on Windows Server 2008 R2 – 64bit.
